Greg Norman was labeled the "Great White Shark" by a newspaper reporter during the 1981 Masters Tournament. As a teenager Greg Norman never did anything halfway. Born February 10th in 1955, to Mervyn and Toini Norman. Merv was an engineer and Toini a homemaker and an accomplished golfer.
He has 29 top 10 finishes in Majors (Masters Tournament, U.S. Open, British Open, PGA Championship), or more than 38 percent of those he has entered.
And while his well-documented wins on the golf course secured him a spot in the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Norman and his wife Laura have two children, Morgan-Leigh (10/5/82) and Gregory (9/19/85). Aside from the time he spends with his family and maintaining his business interests, Norman's passions off the golf course are still the same as they were when he was a boy in Australia -- fishing, hunting, scuba diving and almost any other outdoor activity.
